For Cartier’s latest high jewellery collection “En Équilibre”, K2 was commissioned to create an exhibition at the legendary Ritz Hotel in Paris. Set during Haute Couture Week, the context was as prestigious as it was complex — balancing timeless elegance with contemporary staging inside Salon Louis XIV.
At the heart of the salon, two semi-circular display counters showcased busts adorned with the collection. Along the gilded walls, golden cubes framed photographic works by Pierre-Yves Morel, punctuated by sleek jewel counters. A private corner hosted discreet one-on-one viewings, while a master craftsman demonstrated the meticulous art of glyptic stone carving at a central table — a tribute to Cartier’s savoir-faire. This was the project I was most involved in during my time at K2. From the early concept stages in April
through to the installation at the Ritz in Paris, I experienced the full A–Z process.
I collaborated with Lucie, the project lead, on concept design, created 3D visualizations,
and joined meetings with the Cartier team. Later, I worked on development materials
including plans, technical drawings, and isometric perspectives, etc.
before taking part in the final on-site installation.
